Kids Craft Camp 2020 - Week 3: Puff Paint Sunglasses

If you are looking for the easiest craft ever, this just might be it! You only need two supplies, yes TWO supplies, to make these puff paint sunglasses. They turn out so cute! And who can’t use another pair of sunglasses in the summer?

Supplies

• Sunglasses - I opted for white ones so that the puff paint could really pop. I was able to find this one-size-fits-all 12 pack on Amazon, which was just perfect! They are a little big on my five year old, but they fit my 8, 10, and 13 year old girls well, and, bonus, they fit me! Luckily, my five-year-old didn’t mind them being a little big!

• Puff Paint - I actually ordered mine for pickup from my Walmart Store (I think they were about $10), but any puff paints from any craft store, or this 20 pack from Amazon, would work! You can also use these puff paints for lots of other crafts, so they are a fun craft investment. Think hats, shirts, rocks, wood cutouts, etc.!

How To

I feel silly even writing out the how to for this project, because it is really self explanatory! Create designs on your sunglasses using the puff paints. You can use the dot technique, rub the paint around to fill, or make little pictures. Each of my kids used a different technique, and it was fun to see their art come to life! Make sure to spread some paper over your work area so that no paint gets on your table. You need to be careful while painting so that you don’t touch the areas that have already been painted.

Once you are done painting, carefully set on a paper plate or piece of paper upside down to allow the paint to dry. Depending on how much paint you used, it could take several hours for it to dry. We allowed ours to dry overnight.

Now you can wear your summer-ready creations! You will for sure have the most unique sunglasses in town!
