Yarn Ghosts Four Ways
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before, but when it comes to Halloween, I like cute, not spooky decor. I don’t really love being scared, so when I buy or make Halloween decorations, I tend to lean toward the pumpkins, fuzzy spiders (not scary ones!), and fuzzy ghosts. I also am not a huge fan of orange, so I tend to gravitate toward black and white, with a hint of pink thrown in.
Since ghosts are in my list of favorite Halloween items, I decided to craft up a few to share. If you have white yarn on hand, you could whip up all four of these crafts, with just a few additional supplies. Make all four types of ghosts or just one! I’m including the how-to videos for each ghost!
Draped Yarn Ghosts
Supplies:
White yarn of various textures and sizes. Thicker yarn is great for this project, but it is good to have a variety to give texture and variety. Don’t choose your heaviest yarn as it can cause your wire to bend.
Wire. I had 12 gauge on hand, so I used that, but it wasn’t very sturdy. I ended up doubling up my wire, and it still wasn’t quite as strong as I would have liked. The stronger the better here. Keep in mind that the yarn will pull at the wire, so the bigger the ghost, the heavier it will be.
Black felt for eyes and a mouth.

Pom Pom Ghosts
Supplies
White yarn. Thinner is better for these. Chunky yarn is a little too thick for these pom poms.
Pom Pom Makers. I love this set. You can use any size of pom pom maker for these.

Scrap Carboard
White Yarn. These aren’t very big, so you don’t want anything too chunky.
