How to Make an Anthropologie Inspired Yarn Tied Wreath
A few weeks ago, my sister sent me a link to the cutest yarn wreath at Anthropologie. (I wanted to link to it here, but it looks like it is sold out!) She knows that yarn is my favorite, so she sent it to me to see if I could make one like it! After some trial and error, my newest yarn tied wreath was born!
The process for this wreath is really simple, and it only requires three supplies! I made my wreath in Christmas colors, but you can make yours in any colors for any season. You could even make one for every holiday! For the step-by-step, catch my video below!
Materials
Wreath Frame. I used a 12”, but you can use any size. Amazon has a two-pack HERE, but you can also find these at any craft store.
Yarn. I went with a thicker yarn for the majority of the wreath to make it fuller and fluffy. The yarn I bought is the Chunky Luxe Big yarn from Michaels. I used colorful chunky yarn for the accent pieces.
Fabric Stiffener. I really like the spray variety because it covers the yarn more evenly. You can find it at many craft stores or HERE on Amazon.

How To
A few tips:
It is better to cut your yarn longer than shorter. You can always trim it down later.
Make sure that when you tie your yarn on, you are always tying in the same direction. I wanted the large loop on the front, so I needed to push the ends around the wire and back through the front.
Make sure to skip the second wire from the outside, and continue on the second to the inside wire.
Cover your surface before spraying with fabric stiffener.
Hang your beautiful new wreath on your front door, in your kitchen, or as part of your holiday decor! Once you see how easy these wreaths are, you’ll want to make a bunch in all the colors!
